Of all the Mayan Train stations, it is now known that it will have a station in Teya, which will continue to promote sustainable tourism and the development of the economy in the states that benefit from the passage of the train. In the following lines we will tell you everything about the route you will take in Teya.
The Mayan Train station in Teya
Since 2019, the construction of the Mayan Train in Teya has begun, being part of the station projects that are being built in the Yucatan Peninsula. Recently, various modifications have been made, so that the start of construction will take place on the train system that exists in the town.
This was determined as a way to expedite the process of construction and incorporation of Teya to the route carried out by the Mayan Train, taking advantage of existing constructions in the area. In the same way, it is expected that the station will be finished by 2024, so work must begin to make said construction possible.
The previous location that was planned for the construction of the Teya station, which was La Plancha, has not been completely ruled out. In fact, it is believed that in the future this space can also be used to build secondary works that allow ecotourism in this area.
In this way, the Mayan Train is a project that is still under construction and that, up to now, has had great receptivity with the existing stations. Therefore, it is considered to be one of the most important projects currently in this area of Mexico.
Specifically, the Teya station seems to be one of those that generates the greatest receptivity, as well as sources of employment and economic growth in the sector, thanks to tourism that will attract thousands of tourists.
